The Cost of a Royal Return: Prince William Faces Heavy Price if Harry and Meghan Come Back

The possibility of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle returning to the UK could come with a hefty price tag for Prince William.

The relations between the two brothers are at an all-time low following the release of Harry’s book “Spare,” where he made serious allegations against William and their father, Prince Charles.

Despite Harry briefly returning to the UK for King Charles’ coronation, any hopes of reconciliation between the siblings seem distant.

While the couple has never openly discussed the idea of returning to the royal fold, some royal enthusiasts and experts speculate that they might consider it due to their perceived struggles in Hollywood.

However, if Harry and Meghan decide to return, it remains unclear whether William would welcome them with open arms, considering the financial implications he would face.

As the Prince of Wales, William receives an annual income of £24 million from the Duchy of Cornwall, which supports his lifestyle and responsibilities.

But as his children grow older and start their households, William’s surplus funds are expected to decrease.

If Harry and Meghan were to return, William would likely have to contribute financially to support their duties, housing costs, and their children’s education, Archie and Lilibet.

According to reports from the Daily Mail, the financial burden of their return could quickly diminish the surplus funds William currently enjoys, creating a challenging financial situation for the future king.
