The destiny of young Prince Louis of Cambridge took a significant turn, all thanks to a crucial intervention by Queen Elizabeth II.
The adorable Prince would have had a different moniker if it weren’t for her timely decision.
According to reports, the Queen stepped in before Prince Louis was born to override a rule established by her grandfather, King George V.
This rule dictated that all of the sovereign’s children and grandchildren born through the male line would automatically carry the title of Prince or Princess.
However, when Prince George, Louis’ older brother, and future king, was born, it posed a challenge.
Despite being the heir to the throne, George technically shouldn’t have had the title of Prince under the existing rule.
Queen Elizabeth II swiftly addressed the situation with her characteristic wisdom and foresight.
She decided that Prince George deserved the title, and in doing so, she extended the same privilege to all the children of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Thus, the young royal, now affectionately known as His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge, owes his princely title to the Queen’s decisive intervention.
