Prince William’s NYC Visit: Avoiding Interviews to Dodge Brotherly Rift Questions

Prince William’s upcoming visit to New York City draws attention to its official engagements and what it won’t include.

Reports suggest that the Duke of Cambridge has deliberately declined major TV interviews during his NYC trip, a move speculated to avoid uncomfortable questions about his strained relationship with his brother, Prince Harry.

The Prince of Wales is scheduled to be in New York City on Monday, September 18, and Tuesday, September 19, primarily to participate in an innovation summit planned for Tuesday.

Interestingly, William had intended to attend the same event last year but was unable to do so due to the passing of Queen Elizabeth, for whom he delivered a heartfelt video message instead.

While Prince William embarks on his NYC visit, his younger brother, Prince Harry, is on a separate mission. Harry is currently in Germany, attending the Invictus Games, following his participation in the Wellchild Awards ceremony in London.

During his visit to London, he also took a poignant moment to pay his respects at his grandmother’s grave on the first anniversary of her passing.

Prince Harry did not engage in face-to-face meetings with his family members in the UK.

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, who was due to accompany Prince Harry to Germany, continues to attract her share of attention.
