Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Bear the Brunt of Royal Rift

In a tumultuous saga of family feuds and media scrutiny, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle find themselves caught in the crossfire of double standards.

Royal expert Daniela Elser penned a thought-provoking comment piece for News.com.au, shedding light on the unequal treatment the couple receives compared to the royal family.

Elser highlighted a glaring discrepancy: while the royals are spared from relentless criticism for not apologizing to the Sussexes for their past mistakes, Harry and Meghan are relentlessly chastised for not forgiving Meghan’s estranged father, Thomas Markle.

The rift between Meghan and her father spans over five years, with him missing her wedding in 2018.

Despite not understanding Meghan’s strained relationship with her father, many royal experts seem quick to side with Thomas Markle, perpetuating assumptions without all the facts.

Some even go so far as to criticize Meghan for allegedly keeping her children away from their grandfather.

Elser pointed out the absence of dynamic demands for the royal family, particularly King Charles, Prince William, and Kate Middleton, to forgive the Sussexes for their choices.

The British press conveniently overlooks the royal family’s stance, painting them morally superior.

The heart of the issue lies in the prevailing narrative that Meghan is to blame for the ongoing schism, conveniently ignoring Thomas Markle’s harmful and hurtful remarks about family members.

This unfair portrayal paints Meghan and Harry as selfish and unfeeling, while the royal family’s similar actions are hailed as morally righteous.
